Most people have only ever tasted one kind of banana. At Hawaii Banana Source, we grow dozens — rare, heirloom, and hard-to-find varieties that tell the deeper story of one of the world’s most ancient fruits.
This guided farm tour takes you through our O’ahu property where you’ll see rare cultivars up close, learn how we grow and care for them, and understand why banana biodiversity matters more than most people realize.
This is a real working farm. A real story. A real education — straight from the source.
What’s Included:
∙ Guided walk through rare and heirloom banana cultivars
∙ Expert narration on banana history, diversity, and cultivation

∙ Open farm environment — bring your camera!
Good to Know:

The farm entrance is located off Paalaa Road in Haleiwa. Look for the banana! And follow the directions provided in your booking confirmation. Parking is available on-site. Please arrive 10 minutes before your tour start time.
Biosecurity:
Hawaii Banana Source grows rare and heirloom cultivars that are not easily replaced. To protect the health of the farm, please do not bring plant material, soil, or organic matter from outside the property. This includes fruit, cuttings, and potted plants. We appreciate your help in keeping the farm safe.
